A message from our Pastor

Dear Friend,

Greetings, in the name of Lord Jesus Christ. Welcome to the Peoples Hall Evangelical Church. I am glad you have taken the time to log on to our web page. Hopefully, as you click on to the links, you will find the information you are looking for, and maybe a few more things about us and the surrounding area.

It may be that you’re looking for somewhere permanent to worship. Maybe you have just moved into Bridgnorth and are looking for a church to settle in. Maybe you are interested in becoming a member or attending one of our meetings. It may be that you are coming to this beautiful part of the country for a short break. Whatever your reason, finding a church to worship in can be very difficult. Having come from Northern Ireland a few years ago, I understand the challenges of finding that new church family. To help make the process a little easier, we have put together some brief information about our congregation, its beliefs and ministry for you to review.

Peoples Hall Evangelical Church first started when some Christians began an Adult School in October 1903. 20 men gathered for instruction and discussion of the Word of God and very soon the school expanded to include a junior section and social activities were taking place for the men every evening. Sunday Services were held for their families and eventually, in 1906, a Woman’s Bible Class was started. A rapid increase of numbers at those meetings led the leaders to acquire a plot of land in St John Street and the building of the present People’s Hall was erected. When the FIEC was founded, People’s Hall was one of the original members. (read more of the history of The People’s Hall)

Today, having come through some hard times in the last decade, we are a small church with around 45-50 people gathering together each Sunday. We are a happy and friendly group of Christians, dedicated to glorifying Jesus Christ and sharing the Love of God with the people of Bridgnorth and it’s many visitors each year.

The best way to learn about our church is to make a personal visit to one of our worship services on any given Sunday. (10.30am and 6.30pm). Often, it is through participating in corporate worship that the Holy Spirit provides leading and direction regarding a person’s spiritual life. We pray that direction for you wherever you go in the future.

Whatever your reason for visiting our website, we hope that you find it helpful to you. Please continue to browse through other pages to learn more about us. I encourage you to visit our site frequently and if there are questions you may have about Peoples Hall Evangelical Church and its ministry please, feel free to call me on the phone: 01746 763846 or, .
Thanks for taking the time to visit us online; I hope to meet you soon.

Every blessing in Jesus Christ
